Quinn Infrastructure as a major producer and consumer of construction materials, are developing ways to recover and recycle the waste produced, as well as materials resulting from its rail programmes; covering the full extent of its renovation, refurbishment, maintenance and new build works.
This approach, is part of the broader context of the circular economy, with Quinn Infrastructure aiming for a reduction in its construction costs and savings in materials, transport and energy (carbon). By approaching a “zero waste” culture in its day-to-day activities, Quinn Infrastructure aims to re-use and re-build as far as possible using its own materials.
Central to Quinn Infrastructure’s approach is enlightening social value. To this end the business are in discussions with Recycling Lives to provide waste management and recycling services to the company’s nationwide network of depots and offices, owing to its strong focus on societal value.
Recycling Lives, are a supplier which mirrors Quinn Infrastructure’s company values and ethos, whilst delivering the services required. This will help Quinn Infrastructure to manage all of its waste streams through one provider, in order to achieve a targeted 100% recycling rate. We will also look utilise their stand-out reporting software to ensure full transparency, allowing the company to continue to meet all necessary compliance requirements.
Their unique social programmes are also game-changing. Offering offender rehabilitation and ending food poverty and homelessness. Through this potential partnership we are look to create additional community value from our work.
